I should say up front that I am not comfortable with the idea of placing a “donate” button on this website.  My upbringing and personal values have taught me to be self reliant, and not be a burden to those around me.

With that being said, a number of people have asked me to give them a way to help out.  What I learned through our efforts to feed the community after Hurricane Harvey (CLICK HERE for details) was that people want to help, and sometimes the only way they have is to contribute to something they feel is worthy.  So if you feel this is a worthy cause, I am humbled to accept your aid.

I have a Christian Co-Op for insurance, which is fair-to-middling.  So far they have been easy to deal with but the bills really haven’t started flowing in yet and we really have no idea what they will end up paying.  What I do NOT have is a prescription plan, and with the cost of chemo possibly reaching $30,000 or more(LIVESTRONG ARTICLE ON COSTS) we are going to have to get creative on how to fund this.

If you are inclined to help out financially, please click the DONATE button above. It will take you to a secure Paypal site.  If that’s not your thing, then your prayers are fervently requested and highly coveted.  Maybe you could share my story with someone who might? (No Nigerian princes though)

Most importantly- thank you for getting this far into my site and my story.  I didn’t ask for this battle, and in many ways I have to fight it on my own, but I have never felt more loved and less alone in my life than I do right now.  I have the best support group, and I am going to win this one way or another. I may be bent, but I will never be broken by this.

John.
